My go to place for Korean fried chicken whenever I go to H Mart, Edison, NJ. Located inside H Mart food court. The soy sauce garlic flavored chicken are always served freshly fried and hot. Juicy and not dry. A little on the pricey side but worth it.
I'd rather eat Kono than get Mono, wouldn't you? If you want some really delicious Korean Chicken in Edison, then this is your place. The town of Edison has everything, and honestly the supermarkets here have just about everything too. Some of the best choices that you can imagine is inside these babies. I love Korean Fried Chicken when it's done well, and this place does it well. It's nowhere near as expensive as it would be in a proper restaurant either. Probably because it's cheaper for them to rent the space here than it would be for a huge proper standalone restaurant. And of course, Bono loves Kono.
Korean fried chicken , if u like kfc , popeye's then u MUST try korean fried chicken. They r usually marinated with asian sauce like soya , garlic some similarities with teriyaki/bbq glaze type sauce. The chicken drumsticks and fries were delicious. This place is inside HMart super mkt. , edison NJ. 8 drumsticks with one fries paying around $21 is little high. Other places u can also try r boom boom chicken , bonchon chicken
Feel like boom boom chicken but don't wanna pay boom boom price, you came to the right place. Located in HMart supermarket is Kono Chicken which sells a variety of Korean popular dishes like their tasty chicken wings, udon and ramen noodles, bulgogi, spicy chicken and pork with rices dishes, sushi and seafood dishes as well as bento boxes. I usually order their fried chicken and their salmon bento box which is very delicious and fulfilling. I totally recommend their fried chicken over the boom boom chicken takeout next door. The wait for you food usually takes a bit longer here because they don't cook the meal until you order and yes, they do have a line of customers each time I'm here....go figure! Today, I decided to order their shrimp bento box and was a bit disappointed because of the 5 shrimps that was served with a bunches of teriyaki mixed veggies. The meal tasted fine but for $13.99, I expected more than 5 medium sized shrimps. I'll eat here again but will try some other new dishes next time.
